35th NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship

FORMAT & CUT INFORMATION
This championship is a three-day 54-hole stroke play competition. The field will be cut after 18 holes to the low 60 players and ties, and after 36 holes to the low 30 players and ties.

PAIRINGS
Pairings for Round 1 will be available and emailed to players on Friday, September 21. If you have a tee time request (AM/PM), we will do our best to accommodate you, but you must email it to Ryan Doyle at rdoyle@nysga.org by Wednesday, September 12.
COURSE YARDAGE
Blue/Black combo tees will be the approximately yardage at 6,802 yards (73.1/132)
REGISTRATION
It is requested that players register in-person at Wanakah on Thursday, September 27. At registration players will receive important information for the event, receive their tee gift, and have their profile picture taken for online scoring.
If a player cannot register in person, please register by calling Deb Spilman, NYSGA Administrative Assistant, at (315) 471-6979. Failure to register may result in the forfeiture of your position in the field.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available on Thursday, September 27. Tee times may be scheduled through the championship website beginning on Friday, September 7. Instructions to schedule a practice round will be emailed to the field prior to this date. DO NOT CALL Wanakah to schedule a practice round.
CADDIES
A player may provide his own caddie. No caddies are available through the host club. All caddies will be required to use an NYSGA bib during practice and competition rounds. Bibs can be checked out before each round at the NYSGA registration table (license deposit is required).
GOLF CARTS AND THE NYSGA 'ONE-SEAT' POLICY
The use of carts is approved for all rounds.
The NYSGA's 'One-Seat' Policy is in effect. This policy permits either the player or his caddie to ride, but not both at the same time. If there are only two players riding in a group, they will be required to take one cart. Exceptions to this policy are made when the player's caddie has been approved for a handicap cart (see below).
GOLF CART REQUEST FORM

RANGE
The range will be provided complimentary to players and available each morning starting at 6:40am.
FOOD SERVICE
The club's restaurant will be open throughout the week (cash and club charge only). The hours will be posted when available.
ON-COURSE WATER & SNACKS
Water bottles and fruit/snacks will be provided on the golf course for players/caddies only.
CONTESTANT LUNCHES
Lunch will be provided for all contestants during all competition rounds (see schedule above for hours). Contestants must check-in at the registration table at lunch to receive this complimentary meal. Lunch will be served in the Wanakah clubhouse.
Lunch for spectators and caddies will only be available off the club's menu.
GROUP HOTEL
The NYSGA does not have a group hotel for this championship.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION AND LOCAL RULES
Listed below are several important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this competition.
- Notice to Competitors: Please check your starting tee for the Notice to Players and NYSGA Hard Card.
- Conforming Clubs and Balls: Visit the USGA website (www.usga.com) for a list of approved golf balls and drivers for the competition.
- Distance Measuring Devices: Are permitted.
- One Ball Rule: The “One Ball Rule” will not be in effect.

DRESS CODE
Proper attire is limited to slacks, collared shirts, skirts, Bermuda shorts. Shirts must be tucked in. Cargo shorts are not permitted. Soft spike shoes are allowed, metal spikes are not allowed anywhere on the club premises. Hats are permitted and are to be worn with the brim facing forward. Tennis shorts, swimming attire, jogging or athletic shorts and blue jeans are not proper golf attire.
CLUBHOUSE DRESS CODE
The Grill Room and the Patio area dress code conforms to the golf course rules. Individuals shall remove caps when seated at the bar or at tables after 5 pm. Outside jackets and coats are to be hung in the coat room and not placed over chairs.
PLAYER CONDUCT
Players and/or their guests must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times. Any excessive display of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, illegal drug use, lack of golfing etiquette or disrespect to a fellow player or any other individual may be grounds or disqualification from any tournament. The NYSGA reserves the right to revoke a player's tournament entry, without a refund, at any time for conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the NYSGA.
